Water on the floor? Do these things first
Take a breath. Most water damage can be dried out if it is handled quickly. While we are on the way:
- Shut off the water. The main shutoff is usually where the water line enters the house, in the garage or a crawlspace, or near the water heater.
- Stay safe around electricity. Only turn off power to wet rooms if you can reach the panel without standing in water.
- Move what you can. Lift rugs, electronics, photos and papers off wet floors.
- Take photos and video of the water and the damage before anything is moved or thrown out. Your insurance company will ask for them.
- Don’t use a household vacuum on standing water, and don’t turn on ceiling fixtures in rooms where water came through the ceiling.

Our Water Damage Restoration Process
- Call (360) 907-0156. Tell us what happened and the address. We dispatch a crew, and we are onsite in 45 minutes for emergencies, 24/7.
- We find all the water. Our technicians check floors, walls and cabinets with moisture meters, including spots you can’t see.
- We remove the water and start drying. We extract standing water, then set up air movers and dehumidifiers. We only remove materials that can’t be dried.
- We track the drying. We take moisture readings until the structure is dry and tell you what we find at each visit.
- We document everything for your claim: photos, moisture readings and drying records for your insurance company.
- We handle the repairs. When drying is done, ARS can put your home back together, so you don’t have to find another contractor.

Frequently asked questions
How fast can you get here?
Our crew is onsite in 45 minutes for emergencies, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including nights, weekends and holidays. Call (360) 907-0156.
Should I call my insurance company or ARS first?
If water is still spreading, call us first so we can stop the damage, then call your insurance company. Most policies expect you to take reasonable steps to prevent more damage. We work with all insurance companies and work directly with yours on billing.
Will my insurance cover this?
It depends on your policy and on what caused the water. Your insurance company makes that decision. We document the damage and the drying so they have what they need.
How long does drying take?
It depends on how much got wet and what it is made of. We measure moisture at every visit and keep drying until the readings show the structure is dry. We’ll tell you what to expect after our first visit.
Can I stay in my home?
Many families stay home during drying. The equipment runs around the clock and makes noise. If sewage, mold or electrical hazards are involved, we’ll tell you which areas to stay out of.
Can you do the repairs too?
Yes. After drying, ARS can handle the repairs, from drywall and flooring to cabinets, so one team takes you from the emergency to the finished repair.
